Style Files: January '10 Men

For Winter 2010, men's fashion continues to carry on some of the stronger trends from last year, with a fresh update in the form of new colors and more comfortable outerwear trends that transition easily from night-out to casual weekend looks. Personalize your look with accessories (such as a unique piece of jewelry, cuff links or a belt) that will make the look all your own.

1) Suits. Men's suiting trends for Winter 2010 continue to go the way of finer tailoring and classic fabrics and patterns. Besides the fact that men's suiting trends don't change often, this is a strong, flattering style that has staying power and will be around for the next few seasons. Choose either a fitted blazer over jeans for a relaxed, casual look, or a suit with streamlined details for work or play.

2) Colors. Winter colors for men include black, gray, deep green, brown, blue, yellow, red and orange. Go for a sophisticated look in a light gray suit with a blue shirt or tie, or dare to stand out in a bright orange or red shirt paired with neutral trousers and accessories (such as a scarf) for a bold yet refined look.

Go for a stylish, updated polo, shrunken for a retro fit in multi-color designs that flatters and adds a punch to your wardrobe that stands out in the middle of winter's sea of neutrals.

4) Accessories. Accessories in winter are not just for style, they're a necessity when braving the biting winter cold. Why not keep warm in the latest accessories that both are both flattering and functional? Choose from beanies, scarves, and gloves to keep you warm, and add a stylish touch to any outfit with the right watch, jewelry piece or pair of cuff links.
